Fellows are selected based on the candidate’s previous academic and scientific achievements, interests, and promise. The Internship Dates Are Flexible students from all over the world should arrive in USA between the end of May to Mid-June. The number of fellows differs each year. It ranges from 25-30/summer.
The Woods Hole Summer Student Fellowship program in USA, WHOI’s objective is to provide talented students with a meaningful first-hand introduction to research in following Program oceanography, oceanographic engineering, or marine policy.

Financial Benefits:
- Stipend: A Weekly Fee for the Ten- to Twelve-Week Program. The fee for the summer of 2021 is $650 Per Week.
- Travel: Round-Trip Travel to Woods Hole. The 2020 travel stipend is $700 dollars.

Woods Hole Internship Fields:
First choice is given to students studying in any of the fields of Science or Engineering including but not restricted to the fields of Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, Geology, Geophysics, Mathematics, Meteorology, Physics, Oceanography, and Marine Policy.
Eligibility Criteria:
- The programs are open to all the International Students from all over the world with any Nationality.
- The Program is open to 3rd Year Undergraduate Students in USA.
- Students who will graduate before the fellowship starts are not eligible to apply.
- Fellowship will start from May 2023 in USA.
- Students those are in a three-year Bachelor’s Degree Program, such as those in the UK, essential be in their second year
- Students in a five-year collective Bachelor/Master’s Degree Program essential be in the third year of the program.
Documents Required:
- Updated CV/resume
- A present unofficial transcript, a PDF document.
- At least three letters of recommendation require from professors. (Recommendation forms are offers through the link on the References)
- A completed Course Record catalogue undergraduate coursework by subject category, a primary textbook used for each course, and the grade obtain for completing the course.
